The Lowryder strain is an Indica dominant hybrid that has a ratio of 80% Indica and 20% Sativa, true to its name, Lowryder was designed specifically for its small size and is believed to be one of the first auto-flowering strains of marijuana cultivated.

Lowryder was often the strain of choice when stealth and discretion were of importance and quickly became a fan favourite due to it being easy to cultivate, this is partly down to its auto-flowering nature which means the light schedule of the Lowryder marijuana strain never had to be adjusted and could be left on a permanent 18/6, 20/4 or 24hr light cycle.

The hardiness of Lowryder was also key to the success of the strain as plants were more resilient to mistakes made by the less experienced cultivator. In optimum conditions, Lowryder auto-flower strain can yield between 4 to 6oz per 3x3ft, yields beyond 6oz can be achieved by experienced growers who utilise LST(low-stress training).

Plant sizes range from 30cm – 60cm but tend to be towards the lower end of the range, great for those who want to use the SOG method, with a growth time of 10 – 14 weeks Lowryder is a fairly fast yielding strain of cannabis.

This strain contains Medium THC levels that can be up to 14% and effects of Lowryder strain can vary from person to person but deep relaxation and relief of muscle tensions are regularly reported.

Lowryder strain’s Indica dominant genetics often have a profound effect on hunger and can often replace nausea with a powerful case of the munchies, this strain may also benefit those who suffer from anxiety and negative thoughts as users often report pain-relieving benefits.

It is important to note that not everyone reacts the same and some have reported cases of dry mouth and mild cases of paranoia, that’s why it is always best to start slow and find out how you react to your chosen strain, paranoia can often be caused when inexperienced users take too high of a dose.

Lowryder strain has a distinctive earthy and pungent aroma but in terms of flavour you may detect hints of citrus and sweet notes, this is likely caused by the Sativa genetics that makes up 20% of Lowryder’s profile.

The medium levels of THC present in Lowryder strain make this a great beginner strain for those new to cannabis, Lowryder is also perfect for those first-time growers or those who lack the space for large crops.
