Gorilla Grow Tent 4×4 Product Review

It comes as no surprise that Gorilla is one of the most popular trusted grow tent brands on the market.

Upon first inspection, the average Gorilla Grow Tent is pretty straight forward with reflective Mylar, steel poles for support, and a thick cloth exterior.

After a closer look, it’s clear that the intricate detailing and quality material is what makes Gorilla Grow Tents so special.

Gorilla Grow Tents comes in three product variations;

  • Standard Gorilla Grow Tent
    These tents range in sizes from 2 X 2.5 – 10 X 25 and the prices range between $200 – $2,500
  • Lite Line
These tents are affordable and lightweight, perfect for first-time growers who want to experiment with growing on a budget
  • Shorty Line
This line is identical to the standard tents but they’re shorter. They range in sizes 2 X 2.5 – 4 X 8

Let’s get into the Gorilla Grow Tent review!

The initial assembly is often the most irritating part of owning a grow tent. Gorilla acknowledges this and has built their grow tents with ease of assembly in mind.

The velcro door strips allow you to independently assemble the doors, and the roof sits easily on the top with no squeezes necessary. Gorilla Grow Tents have configuration position ducting ports that are precisely positioned to make this suitable for beginners and experts alike.

The Large EZ View windows offer easy grow snapshots without compromising your environment and the doorways offer 360-degree convenient access.

The larger layouts provide frustration free maneuvering and the thick large double clinching ducting ports maintain an ideal growing space in a snap.

Additionally, the support poles are made from solid steel and are very durable and sturdy. Plus, the frame is powder-coated steel with plenty of support for lights, filters, and fans.

The unique doorways offer 360 degrees convenient access and hold up to 300lbs.

Gorilla Grow Tents are constructed with 1680D thick exterior mash and diamond-shaped reflective Mylar material.

For your reference, the D stands for denier, which is the unit of measurement for the density of tent fabric. According to Gorilla, their grow tent fabric is 3-9 times denser than rival tents on the market.

What does dense fabric mean for your crops?

  • Increased durability
  • Less light penetration
  • Less noise pollution

The interior has a height-adjustable roof that blocks visible and ultraviolet light while passing infrared rays.

The quality and thickness of the material are second to none. The zippers are durable and don’t snag, and there are plenty of venting options, with double clinch gaskets and ports for electrics and fans.

This is undoubtedly a solid tent. It even has enough lateral strength that with 8-10 gallon pots full of moist soil, 8 3×3 foot plants and lights, you’re able to slide the entire tent across the floor.

Gorilla is known for revolutionary designs by manufacturing some of the strongest, thickest and tallest tents in the industry.

Their grow tents possess a patent-pending adjustable height extension kit that provides versatility to growers, as they can extend their tent space up 9ft tall if they have enough space in their environment. This provides a stronger and safer light setup.

However, the height adjustability isn’t just to allow your crops more room to grow. The extra height typically lowered the internal temperature by around 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

Also, if you’re growing in an environment that’s prone to fluctuations in temperature, the 1680D fabrics will help insulate against big changes.

The Gorilla Grow Tent comes with a flood pool that’s installed at the base of the tent, that’s secured by velcro strips that wrap around the poles.

Even the largest spills should be contained within the pool because the pool rises to roughly 4”. Another safety feature is a roof section that prevents infrared and cools down the ceiling of your tent.
